I am musing about...

ALL

All that we do, according to 1 Corinthians 10:31 should be...For. God's . Glory.

It should be the why behind what we do.

Or at least the mindset behind it.

True. Some things we do because of simple logistics, or stated obligations or role expectations.

That is the reason we may take out the trash or calculate payroll.

But still, behind it all, may our mindset always be...that the way in which we perform our daily tasks, no matter how mundane or complicated, no matter how trite or grand, should be done in such a way that it brings God glory!

So...

Sing that song...for God's glory

Mop that floor...for God's glory

Sign that contract...for God's glory

Wipe that nose...for God's glory

Give that donation...for God's glory

Pay that bill...for God's glory

Drink that coffee...for God's glory

Provide that umpteenth drink of water...for God's glory

Read that deep theological Scripture...for God's glory

Answer that simple question...for God's glory

Send that card...for God's glory

Keep that list...for God's glory

Set that table...for God's glory

Set up your website...for God's glory

Watch that renowned show...for God's glory

Watch their made up skit, again...for God's glory

Have that talk...for God's glory

Listen to their words...for God's glory

Meet with a friend...for God's glory

Meet with that coworker...for God's glory

Cut the lawn...for God's glory

Cut some slack...for God's glory

Wash your hair...for God's glory

Wash the clothes...for God's glory

Be washed in the baptismal waters...for God's glory

You get the picture.

Is it easy to do? No, not always

Do we get sidetracked? Busy? Obsessed? Harried? Frustrated? Scared? Apathetic? Preoccupied?

Yes, Yes...all yes's.

Is His grace there to draw us back to Him?

His grace can infiltrate our Modus Operandi when we ask Him to.

And then what happens?

We find greater meaning, greater joy and greater purpose in our day to day living.

He fills us with Himself and we begin to realize a deeper joy.

When we do all for His glory, it affects the way we perform.

We become a more true reflection of who He is to those around us.

May we all pray for this mindset to grow in our hearts and yes, our minds.

That we all, in the days to come...

Can more fully come to practice God's instruction from His beautiful Word, that we do

ALL

for His glory!
