A Thank You, An Announcement and 22,000!

I am marveling at....

The goodness of God! A while back, by God's grace, this simple little blog passed 22,000 views! That is humbling to say the least.

So, I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have been musing and marveling along with me these past couple of years.

Back in the early days of Covid, 2020, the Lord laid it on my heart to do something new! I think that a lot of us may have ventured into "what now, Lord" mode when the pandemic hit. Well, I had thought about writing for years and the Lord then provided the time and the material to proceed. And He has been providing it ever since.

Like I said at the get-go, there is just so much in life to muse and marvel about! God has created a beautiful world, full of amazing stories that surround us every day.

So, right from the start, I gave this blog to Him. It is His. As long as He gives me ideas and a peaceful desire to continue, I will. All for His glory!

It has been an amazing and humbling thing to see how week after week, He will lay something on my heart, often out of the blue. I may have no idea what to write about, and then five minutes later, I am clicking away at the computer.

I have come to see myself as a "somewhat over the top writer of random analogies meant to encourage and inspire". Some of the posts are more light hearted, some share stories of real people and events, some dig a little deeper into culture and the world around us and some are meditaions on God's Word, but they all point back to Jesus.

The other day I heard a song that shares the way I feel. It was from Casting Crowns. The name of the song is Nobody. Likely, you have heard it too. The lyrics go like this. "I'm just a nobody, trying to tell everybody. all about somebody who saved my soul... ". That is me. A nobody. But my Jesus is somebody everybody should know! Let's all help get the word out. About The Word! Because the world needs help!

So now, I am excited now to share two announcements.

First, you may be noticing, I now have a new blogging platform. I will be blogging from my website which I will likely share about more at some future time. But one reason for the switch, is that you all will be able to subscribe and follow this blog. That means that when a new blog is posted you will recieve an email notification. At some time in the future, I may feel led to leave the Facebook media outlet, and this will then provide a way to keep getting the material out there! Just scroll down the Home page of my website and you will find a place to add your email and submit. That would be greatly appreciated!

My second announcement is super exciting! This is something that I have been praying about and working on for quite sometime; a podcast! So for those of you who would rather listen then read, we've got you covered! Just click on the link noted in each blog post and it will take you to the audio version. It will be pretty similar to what is written but with a more personal and fun little touch.

So there you have it.

Thank you again for following along. It means so much! I am able to check analytics to see the numbers. It does not tell me who is reading or listening, just the numbers. It also has revealed that there have been over 20 countries represented in my readership! Wow! That may have something to do with all of your VPN addresses, but then again, it may truly reflect the outreach that the Lord is providing. Either way, all glory to HIm.

And one more thing, I am always open to suggestions and ideas or thoughts that you may have. If you have a special story of how the Lord has worked in your life or someone that you know, a story that we can marvel about together, please reach out to me! I would love to share it! God is working in all of His children in so many wonderful ways. It is a beautiful thing to see the working of the body of Christ.
