Be Still and Know

Updated: Sep 19, 2024

Stillness. It is an art. It is a place where quiet and peace dwells. It is a place of physical transquility and spiritual serenity.

Where do you find your stillness?

In this hustle, bustle world, we must seek it with intention. A daily dose provides needed energy for all the day may bring.

If you are blessed with a lovely lake, a frangrant garden, a mountain view, or a landscaped haven, be thankful.

But if your surroundings are not as serene, but are more about the excitement and stimulation of noise and traffic, of culture and people, take heart...

For the stillness we seek can be found in a place of communion with the giver of peace and stillness itself, with the Creator of true beauty. It can be attained via a heart of worship and a mind saturated in His Word. Pick up the Bible and allow yourself to be engulfed in its message. You will find yourself in a place of lovely stillness as you come to know more intimately....that He is God! That stillness we seek is not so much about our physical surroundings as it is about WHOM we are surrounding our lives with!

Be still and know that I am God Psalm 46:10
