Godly Breezes

As I look out the window I see the movement of the leaves, I hear the melody of the wind as it softly rings the chimes, I see the presence of the wind! And it is a welcome thing. For today is on the hot side.

The breeze. It can relax and refresh. It can wreak havoc and create a chill. It can draw one outdoors or send us scurrying back into shelter. It just depends.

Sometimes it is not existent, everything is calm. And quiet. At other times it takes center stage on nature's arena, stirring up weather alerts and even at times, whipping into something much more dangerous then a mere breeze.

And through it all, no matter the situation, the force or the effects, it reminds us of He who created it, He who controls it. Our God will have His way. He decides the direction, the fervency and the effects of the wind. And thus He does in our lives. He is in control. He does what He does in our lives with a reason and a purpose, often only known to Him. But we can rest in the assurance, that He always has our ultimate good in mind. He knows the before, the after, the "what if's".

He desires and welcomes our prayers, conversation, relationship. What we ask can affect the "way the wind blows", if He wants it to. He will always listen. Sometimes His answer and even His presence may seem as silent as the wind on a still day. But it is always there. Sometimes His response will be as vehement and clear as a gust which makes itself known in no uncertain terms, nearly knocking us over.

But always, He is God.

May we abide in the peace of His presence and be blessed by the touch of His loving breeze as it blows over and into our lives. How thankful we are for the loving power and refreshing touch of...

Godly breezes!

Wincing and Worship
