DELIGHTING IN THE DELIGHTFUL!

How delightful is this time of year!

The beauty of the fall landscape as our Creator God dips His paintbrush into the pleasing palette of autumn hues and brushes it across the scenes before us.

It is a time of reflection. A time of awe. A time of anticipation. As we await the glorious colors to unfold, we think back with nostalgia on Autumns past. We love the crackle of a warm fire, the warmth of a hot cup of cocoa, the woodsy scent of burning leaves, the joyful sound of children at play, the fall-fix fun of a day at the local pumpkin patch.

Fall is a reminder of God's hand on life. He who controls the weather, the seasons, the earth and all that is in it. We gratefully acknowledge that it is He who bestows the blessed harvest this season provides!

We recognize that after fall comes the cold, cozy days of winter followed by the lush awakening of another Spring.

As we journey into the days ahead, may we lean into our Lord and Savior, using the time He gives us to glean perspective from Him and His Word. Let's seek and welcome times of fellowship with other believers. Let's have servant hearts, ready to heed his beckoning on how to use the shortened days He is now providing.

And let us drink in the beauty around us and let it sink into our souls. The returned yet fleeting glory of this glorious time of year!

"While the Earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night shall not cease." Gen. 8:22 ESV
