Give Way

I am musing about this phrase...

"Give Way"

We just got back from a week in the Cayman Islands. So many lovely sights and scenes to take in and enjoy!

As we were shuttled from here to there, we were acutely aware of something....they drive on the left side of the road! I know, many of you may have successfully done this. But we decided to not be risk takers in this area, afraid that the brain just might for a second "forget" and compensate in a potentially dangerous way! We opted to be "shuttled" vs. renting a car.

I noted the "yield signs" and appreciated their wording there are the island. "Give Way" the signs read.

It made me think of what it means to yield to God. To "give way" to His way. To allow Him to work as He wills in our hearts and our lives.

Sometimes, we have no choice. Life happens. Control is unattainable. But no matter the circumstances, our mindset is still under our control. Do we relenquish and give way to His way?

When we come to forks in our roads, when decisions knock at our door, do we turn to our heart's driver and "give way to His way"?

Oh, this can be hard. I am one who enjoys being in control, a planner and a doer. But may I, may we. always keep in mind, that our Lord and Redeemer knows the best road to take. He sees what lies ahead. He knows what is around the next curve. He desires for us to safely reach our "final destination" . He desires that we relax, "look out the window of life" and take in the breath taking beauty around us, that we hang on through the bumps and the curves, trusting our Driver and ...

giving way to His way!
