God is Watching You (Part 1)

Updated: May 16, 2023

The other day, I noticed a lovely parting of the clouds in the sky. The billowy dark clouds opened up and the bright sun shown through. The opening reminded me of the shape of an eye. Like the eye of God!

I do not know what God's eye looks like. But I do know that He is "all seeing", "all knowing". I do know that God is love! He is our Creator, our Savior, our Comforter, Guide and Friend. And so much more. He is our "all in all"

But for now, I want to focus on the fact that He is focused on us. Seeing us. Really seeing us. His children.Through and through. Inside and out. He looks upon us with compassion and kindness. With understanding that only He is capable of. His understanding of us is beyond what we understand of ourselves. After all, He created us. He knows our "down sitting and our uprising" (Psalm 139). He knows what makes us tick and what makes us tock. He knows what brings us joy and what makes us weep. He knows where-in we are strong and where-in we are weak.

And there-in, as we consider His ever present, loving gaze, we find ourselves feeling protected, cared about and "watched". It is good, after all, to know we are being "watched". It is His kind, convicting, ever-present regard, that can lovingly keep us centered, intentional about who we are and Whose we are!

Recognizing that His loving face is always turned towards us should fill our hearts with a sense of belonging and belovedness. We never walk alone. We need not fear what lies before or whether we will be able to navigate the open road He sets before us. For He will show the way, as we look to Him, who is looking at us. With loving vision and with a vision. For He has a vision, a purpose, for each of our lives. He purposely created us with a purpose. A purpose to help grow His Kingdom! To bring Him glory! To experience joy and provide joy. We give God joy as we live in joy, even as our children give us joy as we behold them, watch them, love them. As He does with us. We are His begotten, beloved children...always being beheld by the watching, tender eye of God!

Thank you Jesus!

The Lord bless you and keep you,

The Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you

The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26

PS I just went to add the image to this post. I enlarged it and then I noticed...the raindrops. Yes, I had clicked the pic after a shower. But seeing the raindrops, added a new perspective. It was as if the eye of God is shedding tears of compassion and love as He looks down upon His Children, walking the challenges of life. Another reflection to ponder, of the personal and intense love and vision that He has for us all!

Today I have been wincing. In pain. I did something to a hip muscle. Or so it seems. Might have something to do with the way I lifted those heavy chairs yesterday. But unfortunately, today there was n
