Gospel in, Gospel out!

How many of you recall the acronym GICO? Garbage in, garbage out! We used this term with our kids when they were growing up. If you put garbage into your life and mind, garbage will potentially flow back out. Such a great teaching! The software industry also uses this term in that it suggests that "the quality of the output from a system is directly related to the quality of the input data" (as defined on Google). I think we all can grasp the relevance of this concept.

But lets give it a positive spin! Let's talk about the Gospel! As we soak up the Truth of the Gospel in the many ways the Lord provides, we grow in our faith and gratitude. Living out the Gospel day in and day out and applying its Truths to our personal reality, changes us!

What a blessing, as Christ followers, to know that Jesus loves us, died for us, is there for us, gives grace to us, strengthens us, has forgiven us, uses us, intercedes for us, listens to us, encourages us, guides us, convicts us, teaches us, has a home prepared for us! Beautiful, wonderful Gospel Truths!

And as we "fly in this sky" (I was going to say as we "swim in these waters" but I wanted to go with something a little more original....so I am going to go with it😊 ), we have a broader view of our God-given purpose of life and the beauty it affords. As we land our plane each day on the runway of God's eternal plan, we find ourselves equipped to touch the lives of our fellow life travelers, in a way that helps them also, hopefully, get onboard the Gospel plane headed for that ultimate Heavenly "final destination".

So may we all daily commune with our Travel Guide, take lots of pictures along the way, share of the beauties and joys of the journey, bask in the blessings of a pre-paid ticket and bring as many travelers along on the Gospel plane as we can, as we...

bring the Gospel in (to our hearts and lives), that the Gospel may go out!!
