I am sad

Are you sad? I am. There are just so many people dealing with sad things right now and it can weigh heavy on my heart. And honestly, I am also doing an experiment. How many people can I draw in by this title? Do blog posts that resonate with human suffering, pain and dispointment do better on the open access market than those posts that are more positive, flowery and possibly harder to relate to?

I will see. I can check my analytics for insight (again, don't worry, it does not show specfically who is reading these posts. It is a "numbers only" thing).

My posts are kind of flowery. They definitely always end with a positive spin. Because they purposely are written to point to Jesus. And HE is positive. The most positive thing ever! That is where I like to live. In His presense and with HIs perspective.

But don't we all? Us Christians anyway. But live we do. And the life we live is not always positive. There are times when we are sad. Life happens. It is hard. It is real. And it is sad.

If that is you today, I am sorry. I hope and pray that the Lord is meeting you where you are. For He is a "man of sorrows and aquainted with grief" (Isaiah 53:3). He understands pain, heartache, anquish, dispointment, fear and axiety (after all, don't you think He was feeling those emotions as He prayed, even with "sweat drops as blood", in Gethsemene?) He can relate to everything we feel. HE is the most relational person ever to walk this earth. He can relate like no other.

So, I apologize if I have been hard to relate to. Even as I desire to encourage and inspire, I also want to be in tune to what is real. So dear friend, if you want real, if you want "able to relate"....look to the Word of God and let its" Truths comfort you. Look to the One who understands you more than anyone else ever could, when you say....

I am sad.
