My Sticker Lesson

The other day, I was flying home from a visit to Colorado where I had enjoyed may hours of playtime, reading and interacting with our three precious granddaughters. It was the day before Thanksgiving and the Denver airport was a flurry of people and activity. How thankful I was that my ticket read "TSA Precheck".
Well, it ended up being a less than desirable experience. It turns out, I ended up getting delayed in security (it's a long story). It turned out I needed to have a pat down. Ugh! They needed to get an available female staff member for this. It became quite a lengthy wait, as I watched traveler after traveler go in front of me and on their "merry way". I was not feeling all that merry. I did my due diligence of making sure those in charge were aware of my situation. My words were few and kind, but the knowing looks and forced smiles likely said it all. I knew they were busy. But, I had a plane to catch (and actually, plenty of time left to do it.)
Finally, my turn came. I thanked the lady and was pleasant enough, sharing with her that I didn't envy her job. She gave me a knowing smile. Soon enough, I was finally on my way, hustling to my gate.
After I arrived and had a seat, I noticed something shiny and colorful attached to my jacket. It was a sticker. From one of the girls sticker sheets. It said one word. Jesus.
Wow, that made me think. I am to represent Jesus. Wherever I go, whatever the circumstance. I reflected on how I did. Did I stick to the loving instructions He gives, about being patient and kind?
Did I remember that what we say, can stick with someone and help to make or possibly "break" their day?
Thank you Jesus, for this timely reminder. Please give me grace to represent you well. Thank you for sharing with me this needed "sticker lesson".
