The Equation

It is election day! So many variables and factors play into the equation. As we watch the polls pour in, there will be pathways described, and equations shared, as the electoral college votes are added into candidate A and B's respective columns. The map will be colored in, with reds and blues. Hopefully we have all voted, or will, as we felt led. And now we wait and pray, trusting in God for the final outcome.
We know that once this is all decided, there will still continue to be many factors and variables that play into the equation of our nation's health; economically speaking, as well as physically, emotionally, infra-structurally, defensively, spiritually.
It is all quite interesting. At least I think it is. I must admit, this cycle has pulled me in as I tried to keep up with what was going on. Yes, the twists, the innuendo's, the bias...it was all obvious. Did I long for a candidate to give credit to God? To exemplify and share, the values, policies and character that I long to see in our leaders? Yes! But, was there a clear "better" candidate. My humble response to that, is, as far as I could tell with what I knew, yes.
But that is all I plan to say about that.
What I want to focus on, is the equation that matters. One that each of us must consider. One that will make all the difference in our attitude, our perspective, our joy and our future.
The one that will provide peace amidst cultural upheaval. The one that really matters. And that equation is this:
Jesus plus You= Best Outcome
I pray that you all can make that equation the story of your situation today, if you haven't already. It will make all the difference, as you/we go forward. He cares for you so much more then any politician could even hope to. HIs care is deep, personal, sacrificial and eternal! He is ready and waiting to make you part of the Equation. Find someone to reach out to, a local Pastor, Christian friend or even a Facebook friend if you have questions or need some prayer or counsel. Believe me, when I say...we all need prayer and counsel :) Well, at least, I know that I do :)
So as we go forth, on this Election Day, we are thankful that He is the ultimate and loving, forever, Savior and King!
