Unintentional Glory

Have you ever watched the Olympics? If so, were you not astounded by the abilities of those athletes to perform feats beyond what we think mere human beings should be capable of accomplishing?

Have you ever listened to a pianist, or violinist or guitarist and watched the way their fingers were able to skillfully navigate their instrument producing melodic amazement? Have you ever considered the beauty of a song that stirred your soul to tears as it worked its power, note by note?

How about watching a movie with cinematic sequences, stunts, special effects, and phenominal acting that is an obvious human achievement of great proportions?

Have you ever gazed at architectural wonders and simply marveled at the way they were constucted and designed?

Have you ever walked down Main Street in Disneyland or watched a rocket launch? Have you ever considered the medical advancements that make a heart transplant or the ambulation of a paraplegic possible?

What about the technological milestones that continue to be surpassed at an alarming rate making yesterday's impossible today's feasible? The things that can be accomplished these days is beyond believable sometimes.

Have you ever gazed on an artistic masterpiece and marveled at it's beauty or ingenuity?

I could go on and on. So many creative endeavors that have made the world a better place. So many compositions, literary accomplishments and scientific discoveries that have contributed to our ever changing, growing and improving human experience.

The abilities of the human mind and body are remarkable to say the least. The accomplishments and accolades that mere humanity has achieved can sometimes blow my mind.

And with each of these situations, I see God's glory!! Don't you?

After all, who is it that gives the strength, fortitiude, stamina, vision, mental capacity, creative juices, and even the very heartbeat needed for these accomplishments? It is our God! Without Him, we can do nothing.

Many of those involved in these great achievements, do not necessarily give God credit. Some do for which we are so grateful! And yes, all of the contributors of these amazing accomplishments deserve commendation, but when it is all said and done...it is God!

So everytime we marvel at the marvelous accomplishments of mankind, let us give glory to whom glory is due! Our amazing God!

Even as the mountains in all their granduer, or the ocean with its powerful beauty, or the night sky with its awesome vastness elicit praise to our Creator, so there are many who, in what they are able to accomplish, point our minds to Jesus, although some of them are as unaware of this connection as a sentinel mountain range.

God's glory is all around us! Whether intentional or unintentional, may His glory be observed and exclaimed in our lives every day!

Thank you God for your undeniable glory....

even if its exhibition is unintentional by that which you created, your glory yet reigns supreme!!
