With You in Mind

A couple that I know recently made some improvements in their backyard. They added a decent amount of entertaining and recreational space. I know they are really happy with the finished product. It is lovely and they are thankful.

That said, I know them well enough, that they did not do this just for themselves. Not at all. They created this space with family and friends in mind. They are wanting to use it to bless others. They are relational and have a great love for people.

I know her pretty well. She shared recently that it occurred to her, that as she looks at the place they created for others to enjoy, it helped her gain some understanding into how God might feel. Oh of course, the scale of the "space" HE has created is beyond comprehension or comparison. But the point can be made nonetheless. How disapointed this lady would be, if her space goes unused and unappreciated for the reason it was created. If every time an invitation goes out, it was rejected.

How much greater the disapointment will be if those our Savior invites, rejects His loving invitation. After all, He has created mansions for those He calls and who answer His call. He has a home prepared that is more beautiful then can be imagined; prepared with you and me in mind. He is a relational God. He invites us daily to come sup with Him, to enjoy the sweet fellowship He provides as we commune together, even on this side of eternity.

His invitation is always open. His presence is always there. He is never "too busy" or double booked. His calendar is always available. His timing is not like ours. He never has to clean or get things ready, because they always are! Ready. His ways, His love, His Heavenly home, His relationship! All are abundant and beyond what we can imagine!

So come to Him today. Spend time in His beautiful presence and experience the peace it provides. Accept His invitation for relationship. And know that someday, He will bless you with entrance into the most beautiful space imaginable, prepared with....

you in mind!!
